In order to be able to attend a digital notary appointment, your identity must be established beyond doubt. This is done in a two-stage identification process.
You must complete the first stage before the appointment. You can prove your identity by means of an electronic ID (e.g. ID Austria). If you do not have an electronic ID, a video identification procedure is also possible.
If you are looking at notarity register, you will be sent directly to onboarding to verify your identity.
The second stage of the identification process takes place during your online notary appointment. The notary will identify you by means of a submitted photograph. Please simply follow the notary's instructions for this during the appointment. You do not need to make any preparations for the second stage.
