You book an appointment online with one of our partner notaries. Appointments are flexible and available at short notice between 7 am - 10 pm Central European Time (CET).
Register on app.notarity.com. The first step is to verify your identity. For this, you need a valid identification document (passport or ID card), a mobile phone and about 15min of time.
You will meet a partner notary at the booked appointment. The appointment takes place on app.notarity.com in a video call.
In the appointment, you sign the documents with a qualified electronic signature. The signature will be issued to you during the onboarding process.
After your online appointment, you can download the notarially executed documents. The digitally signed PDF documents are always the original documents. Upon request, we can also send you a physical copy by post for an additional charge of EUR 70 (net).
Before downloading the documents, you must pay for them online.
Appointments for online notarisation can be booked at short notice & with just a few minutes' notice. Appointments are available on weekdays between 7 am and 9 pm as standard. Appointments can also be made outside these times by arrangement.
In principle, the original of the power of attorney is the PDF document which is digitally signed at the online notary appointment. If desired, a physical copy can also be made as a paper document and sent by post to an address of your choice.
The power of attorney may in principle used worldwide be used. If you do not want to use the power of attorney in Austria, please clarify in advance with your legal advisor whether the use of a digitally certified power of attorney is permissible in the respective country. Austria has bilateral agreements with the following countries which make an apostille superfluous:

We also offer a service for obtaining an apostille in a timely manner. With such an apostille, the certified power of attorney can in principle be used worldwide.
Yes, this is possible. Please indicate this when booking the power of attorney. Obtaining the apostille takes 1-2 working days. The apostille is always obtained on a physical copy of the power of attorney. The document is then sent by post to an address of your choice.
The power of attorney may be written in any language.
The certification clause by our partner notaries can be drawn up in German or English as standard. Upon request, our partner notaries can also prepare a certification clause in any other language.
