For an online notarization of a power of attorney, you can book an appointment with a notary partner of notarity.
For digital authentication, you must go through a video identification procedure. Each user:in is issued a qualified electronic signature during the video identification process.
At the scheduled time, you meet the partner notary on the web platform in a video chat. The power of attorney is then signed using the qualified electronic signature. The digital notarization appointment takes about two minutes.
Powers of attorney for use in funding rounds in Austria, Germany, Italy, France and many other European countries can be notarized online in a few minutes via notarity. The digital original of the power of attorney can be used in a funding round immediately after the notary appointment.

notarity has a network of Austrian partner notaries. Our notaries are experienced and trained in the use of notarity and digital services.
Currently reduced special conditions apply for the product launch of notarity. You pay a fixed price of EUR 150 (plus VAT) for the first person who signs a power of attorney. For each additional person signing the same power of attorney, EUR 75 (plus VAT) will be charged. The fee of the partner notary is already included.
You will receive an invoice after the notary appointment.

After the signature has been notarized, the partner notary must add a notarization clause to the power of attorney and sign the document with his/her notarization signature. The completed document is then available shortly after the appointment.
In principle, the documents are created purely online. The documents are provided with qualified electronic signatures and can be used digitally.
A paper certificate can also be sent by post on request.
If you do not want to use the power of attorney in Austria, please clarify in advance with your legal advisor whether the use of a digitally certified power of attorney is permissible in the respective country. Austria has bilateral agreements with the following countries which make an apostille redundant.

We also offer a service for obtaining an apostille in a timely manner. With such an apostille, the certified power of attorney can in principle be used worldwide.
