A digital notarial appointment takes place in the course of a video call in which you are connected live with one of our partner notaries and sign documents using a qualified electronic signature.
Before your digital appointment with a partner notary via notarity, your identity must be verified. You can find out more about this here.
During the verification of your identity, you will also be issued a qualified electronic signature with which you can sign at your notary. You do not need an electronic signature in advance. Here learn more about qualified electronic signatures.
As soon as a partner notary creates an appointment on notarity or accepts an appointment request from you, you will receive an invitation to this appointment on the platform. You will also receive information about the invitation via e-mail.
You must accept this invitation to attend the appointment. You can then view the appointment details and upload documents to be edited in the appointment details.
At the agreed time, you join the appointment by clicking on the corresponding button ("Join appointment") in the appointment details. You will then be connected to your notary in a video conference. Your notary will guide you through the rest of the appointment, identify you again in the appointment and have you sign the relevant documents.
